THE EFFECTIVENESS OF TEACHING LISTENING WITH A BLENDED-BASED CANVAS MODEL AT THE UNIVERSITY LEVEL

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah model platform kanvas berbasis bauran efektif atau tidak digunakan dalam kelas menyimak. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen dengan pretest-posttest control group untuk melihat apakah model pembelajaran ini mempengaruhi pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap kegiatan menyimak. Subyek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester tiga, diambil 2 kelas  yang dipilih secara acak. Setiap kelompok terdiri dari 32 mahasiswa. Data yang diperoleh dari wawancara diuraikan secara deskriptif, skor pretest-posttest dianalisis menggunakan uji-t. Berdasarkan nilai uji-t menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil pretes setelah diberikan perlakuan (posttest), dengan nilai akhir 93,05 untuk kelas eksperimen dan 84,58 untuk kelas kontrol. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan menyimak yang dirancang dengan pembelajaran berbasis campuran di kelas eksperimen terbukti efektif. Meskipun model pembelajaran dengan platform online masih memiliki kelemahan, namun respon mahasiswa terhadap model ini mengarah pada respon yang positif. Para mahasiswa dapat mengakses mata kuliahnya dimana saja dan kapan saja, tanpa batasan waktu, interaksi yang dinamis antara dosen dan mahasiswa, dan dapat memperoleh sumber belajar secara luas.
