Post-publication Discussion
Bioedukasi welcomes evidence-based discussion of published articles, including methodological questions, alternative interpretations, replication findings, and other substantive scholarly observations.
1. Submitting a Scholarly Comment
Readers may submit comments to the editorial office, including the article title and DOI, the specific issue raised, supporting evidence or reasoning, relevant references, and any competing interests. Comments should be concise, constructive, and focused on the published work rather than personal characteristics. Authors should distinguish factual errors from unresolved questions or differences in interpretation and avoid disclosing unnecessary confidential or identifying participant information.
2. Editorial Consideration and Author Response
Editors assess comments for relevance, clarity, supporting evidence, and scholarly value. The original authors may be invited to respond, and independent expert advice may be sought when appropriate. Authors’ responses do not determine whether a valid criticism is considered, and disagreement alone does not guarantee publication of a comment.
Credible concerns raised through external scholarly platforms may also be assessed when brought to the journal’s attention. A formal commentary need not be published before a potential research-integrity concern is evaluated.
3. Publication and Assessment
When accepted for publication, comments and replies are clearly identified and linked to the original article. Editorial correspondence is not represented as having undergone the journal’s standard external peer-review process unless such review has taken place.
Submissions presenting new research are handled under the journal’s standard Review Model. Submission does not guarantee publication, and no fixed publication timeline is promised.
This policy does not restrict lawful public criticism or the reuse of material licensed under CC BY 4.0 in accordance with that licence.
