Ownership and Management
This page describes the ownership, publishing arrangements, and operational management of Bioedukasi. It distinguishes organisational accountability from the editorial responsibilities associated with manuscript evaluation and publication decisions.
1. Journal Ownership
Journal Owner: Unit Publikasi Ilmiah FKIP Universitas Muhammadiyah Metro
Unit Publikasi Ilmiah FKIP Universitas Muhammadiyah Metro owns Bioedukasi: Jurnal Pendidikan Biologi and is responsible for the journal as a scholarly publishing undertaking.
Ownership of the journal is distinct from copyright in individual articles. Copyright, licensing terms, and the rights granted to authors and readers are addressed separately in the journal's Copyright and Licensing policies.
2. Publishing and Operational Management
Bioedukasi is published and managed by Unit Publikasi Ilmiah FKIP Universitas Muhammadiyah Metro.
The unit is responsible for the journal's publishing administration, production coordination, online platform maintenance, publication scheduling, and dissemination.
Day-to-day editorial administration is coordinated by the Managing Editor and the editorial office in accordance with the journal's established editorial procedures. The allocation of manuscript-handling responsibilities and decision-making authority is defined on the Editorial Roles page.
3. Organisational Accountability
Unit Publikasi Ilmiah FKIP Universitas Muhammadiyah Metro is responsible for the organisational arrangements and operational resources required to support the journal's publishing activities.
Operational matters requiring organisational action are referred to the unit through its official contact channel.
Organisational ownership and management do not, by themselves, confer authority to accept, reject, or determine the scholarly content of individual manuscripts. Editorial authority and decision-making responsibilities are defined on the Editorial Roles page, while safeguards protecting editorial decision-making from inappropriate organisational or commercial influence are described on the Editorial Independence page.
4. Institutional Relationships
Institutional affiliations displayed alongside editors' names identify their professional affiliations. These listings do not, by themselves, establish ownership, operational management, sponsorship, or formal endorsement of the journal by those institutions.
Any formal institutional relationship that materially affects the journal's ownership, publishing arrangements, or operational management will be disclosed explicitly, including the nature of the relationship and a link to the relevant organisation's website, where available.
Financial support, sponsorship, and other relevant funding arrangements are disclosed separately on the Revenue Sources and Sponsorship Disclosure page.
5. Changes in Ownership or Management
Any substantive change in the journal's ownership, publisher, or operational management arrangements will be reflected on this page. Notices of substantive changes will identify the organisation concerned, describe the nature of the change, and specify its effective date.
The journal is committed to maintaining accurate and publicly accessible information about its governance and publishing arrangements. Further information about the disclosure and maintenance of governance information is provided on the Governance Transparency page.
