Focus and Scope

HISTORIA: Program Jurnal Studi Pendidikan Sejarah publishes manuscripts of scientific journals dedicated to the development of history education and historical studies. Manuscripts in the form of conceptual thinking, ideas, innovation, creativity, best practices, book reviews and research.

The focus and scope of this journal are:
1. Field of History education, for example, the model of developing historical learning, classroom action research, learning planning, knowledge implementation, learning evaluation, learning innovation within the scope of history education.
2. Historical Studies, for example, history of the movement, intellectual history, historiography, history of independence, labour history, history of ideology, social history, women's history, military history, cultural history and all matters relating to the study of history.

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to HISTORIA : Jurnal Program Studi Pendidikan Sejarah must follow Focus and Scope and Author Guidelines of this journal. The submitted manuscripts must fulfil scientific merit or novelty appropriate to the focus and scope of this journal.
 
All manuscrips submitted to this journal must be written in good English. Authors for whom English is not their native language are encouraged to have their paper checked before submission for grammar and clarity. The work must not have been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.
 
All submitted manuscripts must be free from plagiarism contents. All authors are suggested to use plagiarism detection softaware to do the similarity checking (please use Turnitin or iThenticate to check the similarity). Editors will also check the similarity of manuscripts in this journal by using a Turnitin or iThenticate software.
 
The submitted manuscripts to this journal will be peer-reviewed at least 2 (two) or more expert reviewers from Peer-Reviewers Team. The reviewers give scientific valuable comments improving the contents of the manuscript. Sometimes (if required) a third peer-reviewer is needed to give critical comments to the submitted manuscript. The review process used in this journal is double blind review system.
Final decision of manuscript acceptance is solely made by Editor in Chief (together with Editorial Board if required for consideration) according to reviewers critical comments. The final decision of manuscript is solely based on the Editor and Editorial Board final review which considering peer-reviewers comments (but not solely by Reviewer).
 
Publication of accepted articles including the assigning the article to published issue will be made by Editor in Chief by considering sequence of accepted date and geographical distribution of authors as well as thematic issue.

Based on the review editor will first make editorial decisions. There are five possible editorial decisions (1) the manuscript is accepted, (2) be amended, (3) re-submit, (4) is sent to another publisher, or (5) is rejected.

Typically, the time frame of delivery to the first editor of the average results of 4-6 weeks. The time to reach a final decision depends on the number of reviews rotation, perceptive writer etc. Typically, the time frame of delivery by an average of 2-3 months a final decision.

The total turnaround time for publishing a manuscript depends (additionally to the factors mentioned above) on the submission date, the journal's publication schedule, authors' adherence to the publication guidelines etc. Reviewed and accepted submissions are published by HISTORIA : Jurnal Program Studi Pendidikan Sejarah 2-3 months on average.

Publication Frequency

HISTORIA: Jurnal Program Studi Pendidikan Sejarah is published twice a year in February and August.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Journal History

HISTORIA : Jurnal Program Studi Pendidikan Sejarah (p-ISSN: 2337-4713, e-ISSN: 2442-8728) is a scientific journal published two times a year in February to July and from August to January. Was established on February 5, 2013.

On January 30, 2015 received E-ISSN with Number 2442-8728, SK no. 0005,249 / JI.3.2 / SK.ISSN / 2015.03 - March 31 2015 starting in Vol. 3, No. 1, 2015.

Historia includes articles on the results of research and scientific work with the scope of education history, history of science and social science. The journal is managed by the History Education Studies Program FKIP UM Metro, published by University of Muhammadiyah Metro MSI (Society Historian Indonesia) Lampung.

In some volumes, the name Historia: Jurnal Pembelajaran Sejarah dan Sejarah, but it was realized that it was wrong then in the 2018 issue it was adjusted again to the original naming nomenclature.

Historia is currently being towards improving the quality of the writing, the efforts of national and international indexing and towards accreditation of Higher Education. Support of researchers is indispensable for the progress of the journal Historia. Journal has been indexed in Indonesian Publication Index (IPI), GOOGLE SCHOLAR, Bielefeld Academic Search Engine (BASE), Directory of Research Journals Indexing (DRJI) and Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).
