PENGEMBANGAN LKPD BERBASIS RME UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract


Kemampuan komunikasi matetematis tulis memungkinkan siswa untuk menyampaikan ide-ide matematisnya dalam bentuk tulisan, baik itu model matematika maupun prosedur penyelesaian matematika yang baik. Kemampuan komunikasi matematis lisan memungkinkan siswa untuk bisa memberikan penjelasan atau menyampaikan ide matematis yang ada di kepala. Meskipun demikian, kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dinilai masih rendah. Fakta di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas V SDN 44 Ampenan masih kurang baik. Siswa masih kesulitan dalam mengkomunikasikan penyelesaian masalah atau soal cerita dengan baik. Terdapat beberapa solusi yang bisa di tawarkan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan ini, salah satunya adalah LKPD. LKPD (Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik) berbasis RME (Realistic Mathematics Education) bisa menjadi salah satu solusi yang bisa membantu siswa untuk memperbaiki kemampuan komunikasi matematisnya. Hal ini dibuktikan oleh penelitian terdahulu yang menyebutkan bahwa lembar kerja yang berisi aktivitas langsung (hands on) bisa membantu siswa mengoptimalkan kemampuan komunikasi matematisnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah   mengembangkan LKPD berbasis RME yang valid, praktis, dan efektif.   Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang menggunakan model Plomp.  terdapat empat fase dalam penelitian pengembangan ini yaitu studi pendahuluan (preliminary research), fase desain (design), fase realisasi (realization/construction), dan fase tes, evaluasi dan revisi (test, evaluation, and revision). Uji coba produk terdiri dari 3 macam, yakni uji validitas, uji kepraktisan, dan uji efektivitas.  Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini terdiri dari angket validasi, angket kepraktisan produk, dan soal tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis (sebagai instrument uji efektivitas produk). Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa produk yang disusun sudah memenuhi kriteria valid karena mendapatkan skor 75 dari validator ahli media pembelajaran dan 88 dari validator konsep matematis. Berdasarkan hasil angket kepraktisan menurut guru dan siswa dengan skor 95, 38 dan 84,42, sehingga produk LKPD dikatakan sangat praktis. Untuk uji efektifitas, produk LKDP dikatakan efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan matematis siswa karena telah berhasil membuat jumlah siswa yang berada pada level komunikasi matematis 4 dan 5 adalah 83,4% atau lebih dari 80% dari 42 siswa di kelas.
