Abstract
This research aims at finding out the significant effect of game method in Physics instruction, and the learning achievement of students taught with game method through deductive approach. The design of the study was quasi-experimental. The sample consisted of 124 students. The measurement of achievement used gained scores, i.e. the difference between post test and pretest scores. To find out the validity of the isntrument content validity was used and its reliability was tested by using KR-21 with the reliability coefficient of 0.695 the data was analyzed by using Analysis of Variants (ANOVA) and t-test. The results shows that the learning achievement of students taught with game methode through inductive approach was higher than that of students taught with game method through deductive approach. The conclusions of this research are: (1) there is a significant effect of game method in Physics instruction toward the students achievement, (2) the learning achievement of students taught by using game method through inductive approach was higher than that of students taught by using game method through deductive approach.
