The meaning in life is one of the things which is important to be considered in teenagers' lives. If the meaning in life is fulfilled, individuals will feel a meaningful life and achieve happiness. The family environment acts as the first and main environment of the development of individuals, as well as the process of achieving the meaning of life. However, there are some circumstances that teenagers may grow up and develop in the orphanage which they may live a different life other than general adolescents. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the relationship between spirituality and the meaning in life in adolescents living in the orphanage. This study uses a quantitative design by involving 75 participants chosen by total sampling techniques. Data was obtained by interview using the modified version of meaning in life and spirituality questionnaire. The results show that there is a significant positive relationship between the variables of spirituality and the meaning in life. There is a tendency that the higher the spirituality then the higher the meaning in life. Spirituality is considered to have a contribution in the process of achieving the meaning of life in adolescents in the orphanage. Other variables related to the meaning of life of adolescent living in orphanages require further discussion and research.
