PENGEMBANGAN E-MODUL INTERAKTIF BERBASIS PROBLEM BASED LEARNING (PBL) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS MATEMATIS

Abstract


Kemampuan peserta didik yang rendah dalam berpikir kritis dan ketersediaan bahan ajar yang mendorong kemampuan berpikir kritis masih sangat terbatas. Oleh karena itu, tujuan riset ini untuk menghasilkan E-Modul interaktif berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) yang valid, praktis dan efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis peserta didik SMP. Pengembangan E-Modul interaktif dilaksanakan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE. Adapun Subjek dari riset ini adalah kelas VIII SMPN 25 Kota Serang. Tes kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis peserta didik, lembar penilaian kepraktisan, dan lembar validasi ahli adalah instrumen riset yang digunakan. Hasil riset menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan E-Modul yang dikembangkan sangat valid dan praktis. Hasil tes kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis menunjukkan bahwa nilai N-gain berada dalam kategori peningkatan sedang pada kelas eksperimen dan kategori rendah pada kelas kontrol. Selanjutnya, melalui independent sample t-test menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis peserta didik dalam kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol berbeda secara signifikan.  Rata-rata skor kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa E-Modul interaktif berbasis PBL valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis peserta didik.

The low ability of students in critical thinking and availability of teaching materials that encourage critical thinking skills are very limited. Therefore, the aims of this research is to produce interactive E-Modules based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) that are valid, practical and effective in improving the mathematical critical thinking skills of junior high school students. The development of interactive E-Modules is carried out using the ADDIE development model. The subject of this research is class VIII SMPN 25 Serang City. Tests of students' mathematical critical thinking skills, practicality assessment sheets, and expert validation sheets are the research instruments used. The results showed that the development of the E-Module developed was very valid and practical. The results of the mathematical critical thinking ability test showed that the N-gain value was in the moderate improvement category in the experimental class and the low category in the control class. Furthermore, through independent sample t-test showed an increase in students' mathematical critical thinking skills in experimental classes and control classes significantly different.  The average score of mathematical critical thinking skills in the experimental class was higher than in the control class. It can be concluded that PBL-based interactive E-Modules are valid, practical, and effective to improve students' critical mathematical thinking skills.
