Abstract
Numeracy skills are an important aspect that a teacher or prospective elementary school teacher must have. The purpose of this study was to trace the numeracy profile of prospective primary school teachers and discuss their difficulties in doing the numeracy test, the participants of the study were 48 students of the basic education program at the Yogyakarta State University. This research used explorative descriptive method and used numeracy test to collect data. The results of the numeracy test were analyzed to see the numeracy profile and the parts that were difficult for the participants. The results showed that both participants from the lowest scoring group and participants from the highest group still had difficulty doing the test. The highest difficulty of the participants in this test is on number and algebra content.
