PENGARUH COOPERATIVE LEARNING TIPE NHT TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS, KOLABORASI DAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS SISWA

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan cooperative learning tipe Number Head Together (NHT) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis, kolaborasi dan komunikasi matematis siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode pre-eksperimental dimana penelitian ini satu kelas berlaku sebagai kelas eksperimen sekaligus kelas kontrol. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-B SMP Negeri 1 Padangsidimpuan yang terdiri dari 29 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen tes dan non-tes. Instrumen tes yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes berbentuk pilihan berganda untuk mengukur keberhasilan belajar siswa ditinjau dari kompetensi dasar dan tes berbentuk soal essay untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir kritis sedangkan instrumen non-tes berupa angket kolaborasi siswa, angket komunikasi matematis siswa dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan cooperative learning tipe NHT. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini adalah paired sample t-test. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah 1) Pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan cooperative learning tipe NHT menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan pada kemampuan berpikir kritis, kolaborasi dan komunikasi matematis siswa sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran, 2) pembelajaran matematika menggunakan pendekatan cooperative learning tipe NHT efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, kolaborasi dan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa.
