This study aims to: (1) to determine the effect of the discovery learning learning model on students' problem solving and collaboration abilities, (2) to determine the improvement of students' problem solving and collaboration skills taught with discovery learning learning models. This study uses a quantitative approach, quasi-experimental research type and research design One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research instrument used is a problem solving ability test and student collaboration questionnaire. Based on the Paired Sample T-Test test. shows that (1) learning mathematics with discovery learning learning models has a positive effect on students' problem solving and collaboration abilities (P_value < 0.05) (2) there is an increase in problem solving abilities taught by discovery learning learning models in the high category (N_gain = 1 ,23) and there is an increase in the collaboration ability of students who are taught the discovery learning learning model in the medium category (N_gain = 0.17). That discovery learning model is one of the best solutions in applying mathematics learning in the classroom, especially to improve students' problem solving and collaboration abilities.
