The problem raised in this study is the low understanding of students about career choices that occur in high school students so that group counseling services need to be provided by counseling teachers to students to increase consolidation in career selection. The purpose of this study was to find out what group counseling techniques were used by counseling teachers and to find out their effectiveness in consolidating career choices for high school students. The results found were that there were various group counseling techniques used to consolidate career choices such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT; Solution-Focused Brief Counseling (SFBC); Traits And Factors; Problem Solving; want, doing, evaluation, planning (WDEP, Dispute Irrational) Belief, Ability Potentian Response and Live Modeling, Mind Mapping, Group Discussion and Career Interest Test John L. Holland. The conclusion is that group counseling with various techniques is proven to be effective in increasing student consolidation in career selection for high school students. The method used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with collected references from various journals in the 2013-2023 period. Data analysis used a qualitative meta-synthesis method, which is a method that evaluates identifying, assessing, and interpreting the overall results of the research in accordance with the research questions, topics, or phenomena being studied.
