Abstract
Turnover intention among Generation Z employees has become a growing concern due to the rapid work environment and high job demands, particularly within startup companies. This study investigates the influence of quality of work life on turnover intention among Generation Z employees working in startups in Indonesia. The research adopts a quantitative approach with a correlational design and includes 335 participants selected through purposive sampling. All participants were employees aged between 18 and 28 years who had been employed in Indonesian startup companies for at least six months. Data were collected using the Quality of Working Life scale (QWL) and the Turnover Intention Scale (TIS-6). Data analysis was performed using simple linear regression with the assistance of JAMOVI version 2.3.28. The results indicate that quality of work life has a significant impact on turnover intention among Generation Z employees in startups. Furthermore, the competency development dimension obtained the highest mean score, whereas work and non-work life balance recorded the lowest. Overall, the findings emphasize that quality of work life plays a crucial role in reducing turnover intention. In practical terms, startup companies are advised to enhance quality of work life, particularly in relation to work and non-work life balance, as a strategy to reduce employees intention to leave.
