Self-regulated learning is a conceptual framework in the learning process to establish a goal. This ability must be owned by each student to achieve academic success. In addition to these capabilities, another thing must-have for students is emotional intelligence. This research was conducted to investigate the correlation between emotional intelligence with self-regulated learning (SRL) in grade SMA Negeri 1 Kota Tasikmalaya. The research was carried out in April 2019. The research method used was correlational with the bivariate correlation type. The population of this research was all students of X MIPA 9 as many as 30 people. The samples taken were done with a saturated sampling technique so the entire population was used as a sample. The research instruments used in this study consist of 2 validated instruments: The Schutte Self Report Emotional Intelligence (SSEIT) and Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ) namely self-regulated learning strategies. The data analysis technique used was a bivariate correlation regression test. Based on the results of the study can be concluded that there is a correlation between emotional intelligence with self-regulated learning ( R= 0,396; R2 = 0,157) it means that the contribution from emotional intelligence towards SRL is 15,7%.
