<p><em>This study aims to determine the relationship between self confidence on the mathematical problem-solving abilities of students of SMK on the sequence and series material. The method in this research is descriptive qualitative. The place of research conducted at SMK Al-Ibrohimiyah Cianjur academic year 2018/2019 class XII Administration Offices with the number of 17 students. The instruments in this research are self confidence scale questionnaire and math solving ability test. Analysis of data used in this study using SPSS 21.00 with product moment analysis to measure the relationship of self confidence to the ability of problem solving mathematically. Based on the calculation, the result of data analysis shows that there is a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.784 with p = 0,000 (p <0.01) which means there is a significant positive relationship between self confidence on the ability of problem solving mathematically. This means that self confidence covering the aspects that exist in it can be used as a predictor to measure the ability of problem solving mathematically, the higher the self confidence of students, the students have good problem solving skills, otherwise the lower the students' self confidence, the students has a poor problem solving ability.</em></p>Zenal Muh RamdanLiana VeralitaEuis Eti RohaetiRatni Purwasih

<em>This research is a research development that aims to know the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of learning media using Adobe Flash Professional based on literacy to improve student creativity and establish SMK Cendekia Madiun XI Banking as the subject of research with reference to 4D development model until the third stage, that is define , design, and develop. Instruments used in this research include validation sheet for instructional media, questionnaire response to measure the practicality of media, test result of learning result and questionnaire of student creativity to measure media effectiveness. The results of this study are as follows: 1) Learning media developed meet the criteria of validity and the average results obtained from the media validation questionnaire reached 85.42%. 2) Learning media developed meet the criteria of practicality with the average results obtained from the questionnaire of student responses on field trials reached 81.25%. 3) Learning media developed meet the criteria of effectiveness with the average results obtained from the average test results and the average score of student creativity questionnaires on field trials reached 82.95%. <p><em>This study aimed to determine the activities of teachers and students as well as conceptual understanding of students in terms of multiple intelligences of students by using classroom action research which was conducted in three cycles and each cycle carried out in two meetings. Data collection methods are observation, questionnaire, and tests in each cycle. Based on the results of research activities of teachers and students showed an increase from cycle to cycle. With the results in the first cycle is 57.29%, the second cycle is 73.44%, and the third cycle is 79.43% while the activity of students in the first cycle is 56.51%, the second cycle is 71.09% and the third cycle is 78.13%. Conceptual understanding of students in each intelligence also increased, namely: (1) Interpersonal intelligence and mathematical intelligence in cycle I was 90%, cycle II was 97.92%, and cycle III was 98.21%. (2) Interpersonal intelligence and intra-personal intelligence in cycle I was 56.33%, cycle II was 75.83%, and cycle III was 82.86%. (3) Intra personal intelligence and musical intelligence in cycle I is 70%, cycle II is 83.33%, and cycle III is 87.50%. (4) Interpersonal intelligence and body movement intelligence in cycle I is 50%, cycle II is 62.5%, and cycle III is 71.43%. <p><em>Objective of study was to determine students' learning pattern in understanding angle around the circle and center corner of the circle concepts through teaching aids' suling and pusling' and also to know students' activities at the instruction. The advantages of teaching aids is to motivate students learning, so that they will be more selfconfident in finding concrete mathematics concepts, moreover, the instructional activity will be more enjoyable. Research method was Research and Development(R and D). The result of study showed that 'suling ang pusling' teaching aids could ease students grabbed the concepts i.e the relation betwen angles around the circle and center corner of The circle. <p><em>This research aims to </em><em>describe</em><em> the application of formative tests on edmodo granting the student mathematics teacher education profession. This type of research is descriptive with qualitative approach. Data retrieval by way of observation, online tests and student response. The results of the research shows that with the application of the test for granting edmodo formative student PPG mathematics education is running very well and can be applied to the grant of formative tests. </em><em>With Edmodo can easily see the results obtained by students, besides that with Edmodo can easily see the material that many students answered incorrectly and the settings for execution time can also be set. So that, with this time arrangement, the students will be able to manage the process of the question well. Edmodo also provides facilities to be able to randomize answers with questions in appearance, so that with the existence of the facility there is a possibility that between one student and another student gets the same problem but with a different number. The facility can also minimize students from working together. The implementation is also supported by several student responses. <p><strong><em></em></strong><strong></strong><em>This research is intended to describe the learning design using interactive multimedia with the content in accordance with the 2013 curriculum which emphasizes character education and encourages students to utilize higher-order thinking skills. This interactive learning multimedia is based on problems. The research method used is a development research with an instructional design model, ADDIE. The instrument used in this study is problem solving and questionnaire tests. The results showed that problem-based interactive multimedia designed to be able to utilize high-level thinking skills, as seen from the evaluation results of students with 86.2% completeness. <em>The study of this research is to analyze differences in the students’ mathematical proving ability that follow the learning model of M-APOS learning and the conventional learning in Matrix Algebra course. This research is quasi-experiment with non-equivalent control group design. The population of this research is all students who take the Matrix Algebra the course in odd semester Academic Year 2017/2018 as many as 120 students and purposive sampling samples are as many as 79 students. The research instrument used a mathematical proving ability test. Data analysis used descriptive statistics and nonparametric statistics (Kruskal-Wallis test). The results of this study are: the average of students’ mathematical proving ability that follow the M-APOS learning model and modified Moore method are significantly better than students follow conventional learning in Matrix Algebra course; there is a difference of improving the mathematical proving ability of students following the M-APOS learning model, modified Moore method, and conventional learning; the improvement in the mathematical proving ability of students following the M-APOS learning model and modified Moore method is significantly better than students who follow conventional learning in Matrix Algebra courses. The improvement of students' mathematical proving ability that follows with the M-APOS learning model is better than students who follow with the modified Moore method and conventional learning models. This blog utilization is expected to produce a significant influence, which is in addition to aiming to improve student learning outcomes, it is also expected to help students wisely utilize the internet to find material lectures, discuss difficulties in certain subjects and increase creativity in writing. In addition, lecturers are also easier to monitor the progress of their students through their Blogs or by visiting student Blogs. It is also expected to be able to overcome the diversity of the ability to ask and argue and also can be a solution to the lack of face-to-face hours of lectures. This research is a quantitative research with the use of quasi-experimental or quasi-experimental. Subjects are given an initial test and then given Blog-based learning and then given a final test to find out the improvement in learning outcomes. <em>This study aims to describe the algebraic thinking process of grade VIII MTs students in solving algebraic problems based on Taksonomi Solo seen from gender differences in students with high mathematical abilities. The research was carried out in the eighth grade of Miftahul Huda MTs in Kediri Regency. The research subjects consisted of two students, namely women and men with high abilities. Subjects were chosen based on information from the teacher regarding mathematical abilities and the willingness and openness of the subject to be interviewed about the task of algebra problems. The results of the study showed that female students with high abilities fulfilled the indicators of algebraic thinking, namely finding certain tribes and generalizing the given patterns and understanding the role of variables as numbers that are known in algebraic form, equations and inequalities. <p><em>This study aims to analyze the enhancement of mathematical connection ability and self-study of senior high school students through an open-ended approach. The research method used in this study was a mixed method with embedded type and a quasi-experimental design. The populations of this study were all students of public senior high schools in Karawang. Furthermore, the sample of this study was the tenth-grade students. Samples were taken by purposive sampling technique. Data in this study was collected by mathematical connection ability test and self-study test. The results are: 1) the achievement and enhancement of mathematical connection ability of students that use an open-ended approach is better than students who use conventional learning; 2) self-study of students that use an open-ended approach is better than students who use conventional learning; 3) there is a significant association between the qualification of students’ mathematical connection ability and students’ self-study. <em>This study aims to develop instrument for measuring mathematical communication skills of student prospective mathematics teacher. Development of this instrument used ADDIE model that has five steps: analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate, but in this study only done until the develop step. This instrumen test consists of five items essay test. Validation of this test performed twice that is content validation and empirical validation. The result content validity and emperical validation is all of item valid. After that, to know the reliability, the differentiating power, and the difficulty of item in the instrument conducted trials. The result show that valid items have reliabity coefficient Alpha Cronbach is 0,708, the diffrentiating power of item is enough and the difficulty of item in middle categorized. This result shows that the instrument of mathematical communication test that has been developed valid and reliable. <p>The aim of this study is to describe students’ thinking process in creating schematic representation. A describtive qualitative research is used in this paper along with case study approach. The examined case is students’ thinking process in creating schematic representation in solving word problem. The subjects are Junior High School students at grade VIII. Data collection were done by <em>think aloud</em> technique and interview. The result show that students’ thinking process in creating schematic representation is retrieved from processing theory started by taking the problem into account. Students read the problem based on its intonation with stress in each sentence. Then, students create a scheme and link all information they understand about. This scheme later is drawn into triangle form. By creating the scheme, students are able to comprehend the questions and problems proper. Students connect problems faced by theirself with the concept of Phytagoras stored in long-term memory. <p>Cognitive Load Theory (CLT) is design theory instructional that uses human cognitive architecture. One of the cognitive load theory types is worked example. This study aims to analyze theoretically the ability of worked example using ill-structured problem in training high order thinking skill. This article is designed by reviewing literatures of worked example, ill-structured problem, and high order thinking skill; arranging them to get their primary relation; finally concluding the aim of this study. The main relation of them is one characteristic of high order thinking skill is ill-structured and challenging problems. The result of this research shows theoretically that worked example using ill-structured problems can train high order thinking skill. It is caused by worked example which contains ill-structured problems can train students to analyze and evaluate problem solving through examples without high cognitive load, so that students obtain ill-structured problems solving strategy. Furthermore, giving a wider problem to students' practice as a follow-up action from worked example will train students to create innovative solutions to wider problems.</p>Atik Rodiawati

<p><em>This research aims to describe the development of interactive learning multimedia based on cognitive load theory (CLT) in the fifth grade of elementary school. This type of research is research and development (R & D). The methods of collecting the data in this research were questionnaires, and interviews. This questionnaire is used to determine the response of students after using interactive multimedia based on CLT. Meanwhile this interview was conducted to find out the responses, comments, and suggestions of teachers and students after using interactive multimedia based on CLT. The validity of the results of the validation data analysis from this material expert was 87.50% and the validity of the validation data from this media expert was 85.71%. It shows that the material in CLT-based learning multimedia is valid and ready to be implemented. And the average questionnaire score at SDN 3 Taman was 88.27%, so the results of the questionnaire were declared good. The advantages of this CLT-based interactive learning multimedia are this multimedia display is very interesting, the material is presented more interesting, and the menus that are presented are easy to understand.</em></p>Rissa Prima KurniawatiFida Rahmantika HadiVivi Rulviana
