PROFIL LIFE AND CAREER SKILLS SISWA SEKOLAH MENENGAH ATAS (SMA) DI KABUPATEN BANYUMAS DALAM KONTEKS 21ST CENTURY SKILLS

Abstract


This research aims to determine the mastery of life and career skills in high school students in Banyumas Regency. This research uses a survey method that is sample survey. This research was conducted in January-April 2019. The study population was all high school students in Banyumas Regency. The sampling technique uses stratified random sampling, which is 392 students consisting of 315 high school students and 77 private high school students. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, interviews and observations. Data analysis techniques using quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed that the average score of the measurement results of life and career skills was 3.65 (good) consisting of adaptability score of 3.58 (good), flexible score 3.94 (good), managing goals and time score 3.39 (good), learning independently score 3.16 (enough), independent learners score 3.67 (good). Learning observations and interviews showed that 53-95% of students had good mastery in all aspects except aspects of working independently (35%) and flexible (45%). The survey results show that there is a tendency for female students to have higher levels of mastery of life and career skills compared to male students. There is a tendency that students who take part in various extracurricular activities have better mastery of life and career skills. The conclusion of this research is that the profile of life and career skills of high school students in Banyumas Regency is in the good category.
